卒業生、修了生の皆様、本日は誠におめでとうございます。この日を共に迎えることができましたことを心よりお喜び申し上げます。
とりわけ農?工両学部を卒業される方々は、4年前の入学当初より世界がコロナ禍に見舞われました。そのため皆様を本学にお迎えし、晴れやかに執り行われる予定であった入学式までもが急遽中止にせざるを得ない状況になりました。このような全く異例の学生生活のスタートを余儀なくされたことに対し、私は長く心を痛めて参りました。そして今こうして4年間の時を越え、卒業生として晴れの舞台で初めて直接お話しできる機会となりましたので、何よりもまずはこの場をお借りして、「中国竞彩网へのご入学、誠におめでとうございます。」と申し上げます。皆さんが本学に入学してくださったことを本当に嬉しく思っています。そして入学後も長い間、大変な努力を積み重ねられ、晴れて卒業のこの日を迎えられたことに敬意を表すると共に、心からのお祝いを申し上げます。この間、中国竞彩网での学びや研究活動が皆様にとって貴重なものであったことを願っています。多くの新しい人との出会いや、実際に研究活動に携わることによって、全く未知の世界に足を踏み入れる不安と共に、自分自身が真正面から新しいものに向き合えるワクワクするような感覚を経験されたこともあったかと思います。これら一つ一つのことを思い起こしていただき、また次なる新たな目標に向かって力強く進んでいただきたいです。
さて、今の世の中からこれからの世界、社会変化を見越すと、急速に進む気候変動、現在からさらに10億人以上とも見込まれる世界人口の増加に伴う食料、エネルギー、資源の恒常的な不足、未知の感染症リスクの拡大など、多くの深刻な課題が積み重なります。さらには世界的な都市化の進行による人類の生活様式の歴史的な変化、国際社会における価値観の多様化、変容に対応した新たな国際政策、国際協調構築などの重要事項が山積します。こうした背景の中で、「自然と社会との調和によって生み出される価値」を基盤に、次の世界のあるべき姿を具体的に描き目指すことがとても重要になっています。しかし、それは言葉で語るほど簡単なことではありません。なぜならそれを解き明かし実現の道を開くためには、深淵なる科学的な探求や自然現象の解明はもとより、複雑に入り組んだ人間社会の姿やそこに厳然と存在する、人と人との繋がりについてもしっかりと目を見開く必要があるからです。皆様は本学での学びや経験を通じて、科学的な探究力や世の中に溢れるさまざまな情報を読み解き、それらを適正に活用できる力を持って、新たな知の創造とその共有化を推進する力を存分に発揮するための基礎力を身につけてきました。そこで重要なことは、その経験と力をこれからの社会や学術研究の世界でどう活かすか、あるいはまだまだ不十分だと認識していることがあれば、この先は何に対しどう取り組めばよいのかを考え、行動することが出来るということです。
皆様は大学で様々な経験を重ねると共に、それぞれの専門に立脚した学術研究に取り組んで来られました。この学問の探究の本質とは何かと考えたとき、それは自然や社会の現象を深く見つめ、その真理を明らかにすることかもしれません。しかし本当の答えは決してそれだけに止まるものではありません。この探求活動は自分の本当の姿をしっかり見つめながら、世の中はこの先どうなるかを明らかにし、そして自分は何を成すべきかをはっきり決めていくことに繋がるものです。これこそが学問に真剣に取り組む意味であると思います。すなわち、学問とは決して科学者になるためだけにあるものではなく、皆様がこれからご自身の持てる力を最大に発揮し、世の中と繋がっていくための大事な指針を手にするためのものであると言えるでしょう。
学術活動の中でも、それ以外の世の中の様々な仕事の中でも、単に自分が正しいと主張し、目の前の何かに勝とうとすることだけを考えるのではなく、本当に大事なことや新しい世界を見出し、周りの人々がそこに向かうきっかけを与え、その結果として世の中がよりより方向に進んでいくことこそ本当の目標であるべきです。自分のことをなかなか理解してもらえないと心を痛めるようなときには、一度立ち止まり、その前に自分は相手の話しにどれだけ耳を傾けただろうか、自分こそが一番相手を理解していないということはないだろうかと考えてみることも大切な事です。自分の至らぬところ、不完全であることを認識する、他者の優れた考えを認めるということによって、今まで目にすることができなかった本当に大事なものに気づき、やがては自信をもって大きな意味のあることを成し遂げようという強い意欲も湧いてくるものです。そのような勇気を持つ人には自由に生きる力もしっかり宿るものだと思っています。
どうか今日、この晴れの日を迎えられた卒業生、修了生の皆様には、中国竞彩网での学びと経験を通し、勇気と謙虚さを持ち、人々の心を動かす器の大きな人として、ご自身の真剣な思いに向かって邁進して欲しいと願っています。
皆様のこれからのご活躍とご発展を心より祈念して、私の挨拶とさせていただきます。

Farewell Address
Congratulations to all of our graduates and post-graduates. It is my sincere pleasure to be with you on this glorious day.
I am especially saddened that those of you who graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Engineering had to make such an unusual start to your student life, as the world was hit by the Corona virus infection four years ago, and even the entrance ceremony, which was supposed to welcome you all to the University and be held in fine style, had to be abruptly canceled. I am deeply thinking bitterly upon this situation. Now that four years have passed, and I am able to speak to you directly for the first time as graduates of TUAT, I would like to first and foremost extend my sincere congratulations on your enrollment in TUAT. We are very happy that you have enrolled in TUAT. I would also like to express my sincere respect and congratulate you on your graduation from TUAT after having made great efforts for a long time after your enrollment. I hope that your studies and research activities at TUAT have been valuable to you during this time. I am sure that many of you experienced the anxiety of stepping into a completely unknown world, as well as the excitement of facing something new head-on, through meeting many new people and actually engaging in research activities. I hope that you will recall each of these experiences and move forward strongly toward your next new goal.
Looking ahead from the current world to the future world and social changes, many serious issues are piling up, such as rapid climate change, constant shortages of food, energy, and resources due to the increase in the world population, which is expected to exceed 1 billion from the current level, and the growing risk of unknown infectious diseases. In addition, there are many important issues such as historical changes in human lifestyles due to the progress of global urbanization, diversification of values in the international community, and new international policies and the building of international cooperation in response to these transformations. Against this backdrop, it has become very important to concretely envision what the world should be like in the future, based on "values created through harmony between nature and society. However, this is not as easy as it sounds. To unravel it, we must not only conduct profound scientific research and elucidate natural phenomena, but we must also open our eyes to the intricacies of human society and the human relationships that exist within it. Through your studies and experiences at the University, you have acquired the basic skills to fully demonstrate your ability to promote the creation and sharing of new knowledge through scientific inquiry and the ability to read and understand a variety of information that abounds in the world and to make appropriate use of it. What is important here is that you can think and act anew about how to apply your experience and capabilities in the world of society and academic research in the future, or, if there are things you recognize are still insufficient, what you should do about them in the future.
Along with your various experiences at universities, you have been engaged in academic research based on your respective specialties. When you think about the essence of this academic pursuit, it may be to look deeply into the phenomena of nature and society and to reveal their truths. However, the real answer never stops there. This inquiry leads to a clear understanding of what the world will be like in the future and to a clear determination of what one should do, while taking a hard look at one's own true self. This is the meaning of serious academic pursuits. In other words, study is not only to become a scientist, but also to obtain an important guideline for you to maximize your potential and connect with the world.
In our academic activities and in our various other work in the world, we should not just think about being right and winning at something, but our true goal should be to discover what is really important, to discover a new world, to inspire people around us to move toward it, and to move the world forward in a better direction as a result. This should be the real goal. Whenever we are pained that people do not understand us, it is important to stop and think about how much we have listened to them and whether we are the one who does not understand them the most. By recognizing our own inadequacies and imperfections, and by acknowledging the superior ideas of others, we can realize what is truly important that we have not been able to see before, and we can eventually be motivated to accomplish great and meaningful things with confidence. I believe that those who possess such courage will also have the strength to live freely.
I hope that all the graduates and post-graduates who have reached this fine day today will, through your many learnings and experiences at TUAT, have the courage and humility to move people's hearts and move forward toward your own earnest aspirations as a person of large capacity.
Let me conclude my address by wishing you all the very best in your future endeavors and development.
